Keeping chickens healthy

Both small flock owners and registered producers are concerned about keeping their chickens healthy.  Good biosecurity practices are the best way to limit the introduction and spread of diseases on the farm.  Registered producers must follow nationally recognized and audited food safey programs.  Small flock owners can take advantage of the Canadian Food Inspection Agency’s Animal Health Starts on the Farm campaign which is promoting farm management practices that can help keep animals healthy.
